“Once upon a time there was an abandoned house on a beautiful Tuscan hill among olive trees and vineyards….”
With such a natural context, the task of making a beautiful home isn’t very complicated. The architect just has to be careful not to do too much damage. Moreover the building had already been built as regards the external perimeter walls.
My task was to complete the work by adapting the interior to the needs of clients whose aspiration was to make it their oasis of tranquility in the heart of Tuscany according to the classic local typological features.
The interior of the building was, then, completely emptied, redesigned and rebuilt according to the expectations of the new owners trying to highlight the relationship between the interior and the external landscape and adding the possibility of making the most of the external spaces with the addition of a wooden pergola for outdoor dining and with a swimming pool overlooking the city of Volterra and its breathtaking surrounding landscape.
